The innovative GMOV component combines metal oxide varistors (MOV) and gas discharge tubes (GDT) with patented space-saving FLAT technology. This hybrid device has a compact shape and can be used instead of standard 14 or 20 mm MOVs. **Performance** - Zero energy consumption in standby - Low capacitance - GDT isolates MOV from AC/DC - Isolates MOV from line voltage below GDT turn-on voltage - Low leakage current over the lifespan (<0.1 µA) In general, GMOV components for overvoltage protection can be used in nearly any application powered by AC or DC.
